Little Rock shooting leaves one man injured

Little Rock police responded to a shooting that left one man injured Monday morning.
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock police responded to a shooting that left one man injured Monday morning.

According to reports, officers from the Little Rock police department responded to a shooting at 7400 Milford Drive, but were later redirected to 10111 Chicot Road. When they arrived, they spoke with the victim, later identified as 19-year-old Darnell Britts, who told police he had been shot.

Police say Britts told them that a family member sold drugs to the suspect, known only as ‘Junior’ some drugs the week before, and that Junior had returned to demand the rest of his purchase. Britts told police that when he answered his door, Junior demanded the rest of the drugs then pulled out a gun and shot him in the left forearm.

According to Britts, Junior left the scene in a vehicle while he ran to 7400 Milford to ask for help.

Police say Britts had severe injuries to his left forearm. He was transported to Baptist Medical Center where he was treated and is currently in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
