When you drive thru the campgrounds at Heber Springs and Greers Ferry during the spring/summer/early fall months, you see a very full campground with few sites unoccupied. So the thinking here is to cut or limit the usage of something that is bringing in money in order to save money. Right? LOL. This is what theyre saying basically. If you have 1,000 campsites and on an average 975 of them are being used on a steady basis, you are making making revenue. If you cut the number of sites down to 750, you will lose money, even if those 750 stay full.

READY FOR A CHANGE - like giving BACK to the taxpayers instead of TAKING AWAY from the taxpayers. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I am infuriated.

How could it NOT hurt the local economy? For crying out loud the parks are so out dated now it's not even funny - they need work and if the money weren't going in the front pocket of the politicians there'd be PLENTY to get our parks up and running with all the amenities. This is SICKENING!

This kind of news just sickens me. They want to close the parks that taxpayers fund but there is no limit to foreign aid, welfare, corporate welfare, government waste, etc. Now we hear that mitt romney has millions stashed in the Caymon Islands to avoid paying taxes. America is doomed.

You know this is just great. One of the few family activities in Arkansas That promotes family togetherness is being shut down. Thank you Bush and Ohama. You hammed around in an effort to fill your pockets at the expense of the American public. At least that is my opinion. Let the election begin. Ohama you were right. We are ready for a change.
