LITTLE ROCK, AR – Jeremy Walker pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder Tuesday in connection to the September 2011 shooting death of Walter Jones.
Walker shot Jones in Lonoke during an
altercation Jones was having with Courtney McClain. At the time of the shooting, McClain told Fox 16 that he didn’t know who shot Jones.
Walker, McClain, Mclain’s brother Kimo, and Fantasia Williams were
later arrested in Longview, TX. Lonoke Police said the McClain brothers and Williams were hiding Walker at Williams’ Longview home.
Walker was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 12.5 of those years suspended, leaving him to serve 17.5 years. The McClain brothers both plead guilty to hindering apprehension, a felony, and will be sentenced on October 9th.
