Trust me itsjustme, I know! Sis in law lives with a methbilly. 4 time loser. Last time, got 14 years, served less than 3, and to the best of my knowledge, is back up to his old tricks. He "found" God while in there also, but has "lost" Him since getting out. Can't read or write a lick, other than his name. And graduated from Sylvan Hills! Good work Sherwood!

ArkansasYankee, he will not serve the entire 17.5 years. These POS thugs cant behave on the streets, but when they get locked up, they all of a sudden find God and try to keep their act together just long enough to convince the stupid ass parole board that they are ready to return to society. Then they commit another crime and the revolving door starts all over again. He will be eligible for parole within 5 years, whether or not it is granted is yet to be seen, but rest assure, the parole board will help him out. The parole board has no qualifications to determine if any individual has been rehabilitated enough to return to society. It should be abloished. Make these pieces of trash serve the entire term. Good behavior is a joke. Prison is a joke. Sentences are a joke. The justice system is a joke.

Not real familiar with parole and probation. Will he serve the full 17.5 years? Or get time off for "good" behavior, or whatever? Used to read High Times; read about people that got more time than this for having a few joints on them. Unreal.

The 30 year sentence for killing someone is a big enough slap in the face to the victim, but the 12.5 year suspended sentence is just a punch to the stomach. Arkansas has some of the most f'ed up sentencing guidelines and one of the most rediculous justice systems.

17 years........for someone's life.Does not seem right to me.If our criminal justice system had the nuts to put these types of away for life or,better yet,use the death penalty,we would all be better off.Murder should not be plea bargained.
