Lottery re-examines vendor contract

Lottery commissioners are debating whether students are losing scholarship dollars because of a multi-million dollar gaming contract. At stake, a possible decision to void the scratch off contract - which would cause a major disruption to the lottery.

@protector20 - I agree with your post with one addition - If Passaliaigue did not have the authority, then he should also be prosecuted for malfeasance.

The issue should be did Passailaigue have the authority, on behalf of the lottery, to change the terms of the contract that the commission originally agreed to. If he did not, then how can it be a legally binding contract? If he did, then shame on the commissioners for giving him that authority and we have to live with our students losing out on $2 million a year in scholarship money. Perhaps more heads should have rolled than just Passailaigue and his deputies.
