The problem with malvern school dictrict is it doesn't protect it's students. I as a student there's until the eighth grade when I was grabbed by a guy, and threatened to be raped. We ended up in court because the school wouldnt do anything about it even though there was witnesses. Now everyone is trying to makethis intoa race issue but it isn't. It's a safety issue and I don't feel that my kids nor my nieces or nephews will be safe at malvern. It's not about money and it never has been.

There is so much more to this story! I know of one situation where a mobile home is shown to be in Malvern school dristrict and a vehicle at the same address shows it is in the Magnet Cove school district! That resident has always voted in the Magnet school elections and at Magnet School. She has been notified that her kids must go to Malvern and that her voting place has changed.....from the Magnet gym to the Magnet auditorium!!! Something is wrong with the clerk's office in Hot Spring county. Also, cases of one child in a family being pulled back to Malvern and another in the same family not. Why??? If the class is full at Malvern for a certain grade, they don't want that student back because they'd be over the limit and have to hire another teacher. It is all about the $$$.

Janie (Mary) Rogers of Malvern posted a comment below and has NO idea what she is talking about. As a parent of "Malvern Students", I know and understand that problem. Maybe if the schools followed proper policy and procedure, then we would not have as many of these parents wanting to remove their children from that awful place.

Throught out my years I have seen this in different ways and with different attitudes. but when it really gets down to the nitty gritty these parents will move to another town if they have to in the name of their child's education. Back in the seventies I lived in Whitehaven which is in memphis. Was a quiet area. Then it started to get bad and my folks moved to Miss to get us kids a better education. It is just life. And that is the way it is going to be. Maybe if alvern would make a move towards bettering the school system then maybe they would not loss the kids.

well i disagree with you. its pretty dumb. if the students don't like going to school at Malvern High then don't make them. they will not want to learn in any way. if there happy whre they are then let them go to that school where they are attending. sinserly bob the builder

I'm sorry it has come to the point of having to file a suit in court to solve the problem of enrollment at Malvern School system. How many times have these parents notified the school superintent or the school board concerning these problems? When going to these people, name names of the trouble makers. If you have to go to the board meeting every month for years, do so and solve the cases that way and don't involve the courts. What kind of an example are you setting for your children? I know there are much bigger problems now than when I was sending my children to Malvern schools, but at that time they were just as important as they are to parents now. At that time there wasn't as much flight to other schools as there is now. Is it because that some of the parents are thinking back when they may have been slighted when they were in school that they are trying to justify filing a suit they were denied back then. I think Mr. Golden is doing a good job as superintindent, and I support him in every way. He is just trying to keep all the money in the district as it is entitled to under state law. Much luck Malvern in the law school. I support you all the way. Sincerely, Mary Rogers
