Man accused of possessing explosives and guns

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a central Arkansas man faces charges of being a felon in possession of firearm and explosive material after authorities found explosives and guns at his Mablevale home.

Fifty-two-year-old Michael S. Parker was arraigned Thursday after authorities searched his home early Wednesday. Prosecutors say officers seized a stick of military-grade dynamite and explosive materials in addition to a 12-gauge shotgun and a .38-caliber revolver.

Prosecutors say Parker was previously convicted of methamphetamine-related charges and that it's illegal for him to possess firearms or explosives because he's a convicted felon.

His lawyer, Latrece Gray, didn't immediately respond to an email or phone message left Thursday.

You spelled "bred" wrong. Don't know what the shift key is for either, do you? Yank has several weapons, all legal. Yank has a stockpile of ammo, all bought at W-M, Ft. Thompson, and other places. Some given to me by my father when he moved. Yank has gunpowder for his black powder 44 revolver, bought at W-M before they switched to that other garbage. Yank has lead balls, wads, caps, and other gear for the revolver. Yank thinks it's none of your business either. Jackboots refers to the Federal Government; an entity I do not trust one bit. I love my country, but not my government. The only zombie I know is some brain dead moron on this site; we won't mention his name, but everyone knows who he is! Especially the LEO's and veterans that post here regularly. That invite to show up at tomorrow's memorial at the Razorback is still there; come on out and voice your opinions of veterans, PLEASE! Oh, and bring a life jacket!

something don't seem right? yank being full bread military but not wanting "jackboots" knowing his weapons? who is he quoting with that "jackboots" comment??? Clinton,Obama?.... itsjustme don't mind them knowing what weapons he has....i don't mind them knowing what weapons i have....but yank don't want them knowing his weapons. what is it yank illegal guns, expolsives??? old yank may make headlines right here on this site

Why were the cops there in the first place? Hope they never come to my house. LOL. Only difference is I'm not a felon and everything I own is listed with the ATF and ASP.

The previous news story said he had 1 gun 1 shotgun and a stick of military dynamite and this was a year long investigation. SMDH.

He was just going to use the explosives material to make meth because he was out of Drano and fertilizer.
