TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — An Arkansas man who was charged with making bomb threats to a Tyson Foods plant in Nashville where he worked has pleaded guilty to making threatening phone calls.
The Texarkana Gazette reports that 30-year-old Harvey Harper entered the plea last week on U.S. District Court in Texarkana.
An FBI agent testified during a preliminary hearing in October that Harper was identified through a cell phone number from which the threat was made in January. The agent said he called the number and Harper answered the phone and identified himself.
Court documents say Harper made the threat Jan. 17 because he wanted an excuse to miss work.
