Man arrested for rape of 12-year-old girl

Glad to see y'all support 'Innocent Until Proven Guilty'. You're acting like a bunch of lunatics. Now we see why this state's educational level is ranked near the bottom and the rest of the country laughs at us. Ridiculous.

@ Layla37: The sad thing is that sometimes these girls are deceitful. And the boy always gets the blame. Girls lie about their age and all kinds of other things to get a boy. YOu know, this boy is only 18. He's not fully mentally developed. And I know that that's not always the case, but before we start calling this kid names and wanting him dead. Look up the laws and rules on "Rape". YOu will be suprised as to what all it includes. If he is found guilty he will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Even if the girl lied about her age and told him she was older, the law doesn't care. I just feel bad for them all. This girl maybe being sexually active at such a young age and this boy possibly being labeled because he was simply being a stupid boy. I have always tried to instill in my own boys how important it is to always know the girl that you are sleeping with. Don't ever have sex with a girl you don't know and never ever do it with a girl if they have been drinking. So many times these girls get caught being sexually active and the parent wants to go after the boy instead of looking at the real problem that their daughter could have been at fault.

@ Sherri....I'm glad you pointed that out. Its unfortunate that we assume he's guilty before he is found guilty. Its an ugly world out there and the reason he is judged so quickly is because it happens all the time. I do have a friend in another state that has done all she could do with her 17 yr old daughter. This 17 yr old has been sexually curious since she was 12. She has been on the Phone chat lines pretending to be older, got online and has sent nasty pics of herself to MEN and chats with them, she has made plans with men to meet them. My Friend, mind you has contacted the law, had the law at her house, had therapy for her daughter, my friend removed the home phone and all computers in the house, her daughter does not have a cell phone, does not have sleep overs with her friends or go to the mall because her mother can not trust her. There of course is more to the story, and most of you prob think I'm rambeling on. Its just a little proof that there are hungry girls out there that will cry wolfe and they are young and getting older boys in trouble. I always tell boys either way...."girls of the world are nothing but trouble" watch out and pay attention. Don't get involved right away.

What if it's not true and this girl was lying because the boy didn't want to have anything to do with her? YOu know, girls do lie about these things sometimes. Maybe we should wait for the facts to come out before we start judging.
