NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police arrested a man accused of attempting to scrap an old car.

According to reports, around 2:19pm on January 15, police responded to a theft in progress call at 4801 Rixie Road. When they arrived, the victim, later identified as 41-year-old Andretta Thomas, told police that she caught a man on her property trying to scrap an old car. Thomas stated that the vehicle hood and four hubcaps were in the back of the suspect's truck.

Police spoke with the suspect, identified as 61-year-old Rodney Sisk, who stated that his cousin told him that the property was owned by the Baker family and that it was alright if they scrapped on their property. Sisk told police that he did not know the property was owned by Thomas. Sisk advised that he had four Cadillac hubcaps and a car hood that he took off the old vehicle on the property.

Sisk was arrested for criminal trespassing and theft of scrap metal. The investigation is ongoing.

I think this was another over reaction by the police. Why was the other fellow who told the old man he could have the stuff not spoken to before they decided to just charge the guy. Our police are a bunch of lazy bullys.
