Man arrested for stolen camper

LONOKE, AR - Authorities arrested a man they say was living in a stolen travel trailer Sunday.

A Lonoke County deputy who was responding to a trespassing call on Casteen Road in Lonoke says he found 48-year-old Steven Ray Abshure working on a camper in which he was living.

The VIN plate had been removed from the camper, according to the deputy, and further investigation revealed that it had been reported stolen in Texarkana in June of 2011.

The deputy says there was also a 4-wheeler at the scene which had been reported stolen to the White County Sheriff’s Office in May 2012.

Abshure was arrested on two counts of theft by receiving and the camper and 4-wheeler were seized.
