LITTLE ROCK, AR - Saline County deputies have arrested a man on attempted murder charges after a domestic disturbance call.
Deputies were called to a home on Christopher Drive in Mabelvale on August 9 where a 25-year-old woman told deputies that her boyfriend, 31-year-old Joel Rodriguez, had attacked her.
The woman said Rodriguez had hit her several times on the head with his hands and with a pistol. She said he put the gun in her mouth and pulled the trigger and also put the gun to the back of her head and pulled the trigger again, but it did not fire either time.
The victim told deputies Rodriguez took her keys and left the residence in her car.
Arrest warrant was issued for Rodriguez and he was arrested on August 14 in Little Rock.
He has been charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit 1st degree Murder, Domestic Battery, Terroristic Threatening and Theft of Property.
