Man arrested on suspicion of breaking windows with bricks, rocks

HOT SPRINGS, AR – Police have arrested a man who they say is suspected of breaking glass windows and doors at the Hot Springs Convention Center with bricks and rocks.

According to the Hot Springs Police Department, around 6:23 pm on July 22, an employee of the Hot Springs Convention Center called police to report an unknown man breaking glass windows and doors with bricks and rocks. Police arrested the suspect, 23-year-old Richard Thompson, in front of a nearby hotel.

Damage to the convention center is estimated at $5,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
