SEARCY, Ark. (AP) — A Searcy man charged in the stabbing death of another man has been found mentally fit to stand trial.

Prosecutors say a report from the Arkansas State Hospital finds that 31-year-old Derrick Lynn Williams is mentally fit to proceed with trial in the death of 37-year-old Robbie Joey Blagg.

The Daily Citizen reports that a hearing is set for Wednesday for a judge to consider whether Williams should have a second mental examination performed by a private psychiatrist — not one picked by the state.

Williams has pleaded not guilty.

Blagg was found last November in a ditch near Judsonia, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He later died at the White County Hospital.

O.k. Give him a trial, if hes found guilty give him his appeal, and if that fails, juice him on day 31.
