LITTLE ROCK, AR – A music teacher charged with the sexual assault of a child in Colorado may be hiding in Arkansas.
According to the FBI, 59-year-old James David Tiner, aka “Music Dave,” assaulted an 8-year-old girl who was at his home for music lessons in Palisade, CO. The alleged assaults happened from September 2009 to June 2010. The FBI says a search of his Mesa County home found multiple pictures of the victim naked with Tiner, performing sexual acts. The FBI says they also found pictures of other naked pre-pubescent girls in his home.
The FBI says Tiner has family ties to Little Rock and was last seen here on June 15th. Tiner may be driving a red Isuzu Rodeo with CO license plate 577-YGP or unknown Arkansas plates. Tiner may also be with his dog “Kili.” Tiner is an outdoorsman and may be staying in campgrounds or national parks. He also is known to abuse drugs, according to the FBI.
Tiner is described as 5’11” tall, 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Tiner is charged with sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child – pattern of abuse, and sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. He also faces a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Anyone with knowledge of Tiner’s whereabouts is asked to call the local FBI officer or nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
