LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police say one man has died after a Little Rock shooting, marking the city’s 35th homicide in 2012.

According to Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department, 25-year-old Desiree Rice has died after he was found suffering from gun shot wounds in the parking lot at 1225 Geyer Road on August 6. Rice, along with 31-year-old Billy McKinney, were transported to UAMS, where he later died. McKinney is currently listed in stable condition.

Police say the suspect, 20-year-old Cameron Peterson, is now wanted for first degree murder, along with his previous first degree battery charge.

In 2011, Peterson was wanted for ambushing police officers with an AK-47.

The investigation is ongoing.

I bet Pine Bluff is thanking LR for taking the media eyes off of them for the time. The stats for LR just keep getting worse and worse. Thats why I keep my ass away from there as much as possible. I know every city has its crime, but I sure as hell wont go to a city that is chocked full of idiots killing people left and right. Not my cup of tea.

They should have shot his ass back in 2011. People like this that have no regard for human life, living a productive life and shooting at people/police should be wiped off of the face of the earth.

Well why is the family not out crying about injustice? You know in our neighborhood if we see a crime committed we report it to the police. Reason over the years our neighborhood has not had but once incident. If people start caring about the people that live on the left and right of them. How many times have people been shot with 20 people shut their doors take back your neighborhood.

Well where is the family and them making statements to the press. See people/family members know what folks are doing and they don't do nothing about that!

Well this wouldn't have happened if this "menace to society" "Peterson" were to have been locked up for a long time due to ambushing the police back in 2011. This is truelly get out of hand...youngsters killing youngersters...ya'll aint no life in the thug life" You all will burn for your crimes come your final judgement day. I realize due to the lack of parenting or parents that are thugs themselves, some kids end up just like them. Its either your cracked out, saling your bodies or thuggin and some kids grow up that way. I have seen some that did and turned their cheek and wanted better. Wish all youngsters would try to better themselves then to live in peace then to live like this. What a damn shame. I pray for this family
