FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A 39-year-old man who died while working at the University of Arkansas campus was operating a forklift during construction of a new football practice field.

The Flintco LLC construction management company didn't release the name of the man Tuesday, citing family privacy concerns. The company says the man was moving turf Sunday for installation at the new practice field prior to becoming ill.

The man worked for a company contracted by Flintco.

Washington County Coroner Roger Morris says the man had an internal temperature of 109 degrees when he was taken to the hospital on Sunday. Morris says he died Monday evening.

Temperatures reached into the upper 90s in Fayetteville on Sunday.
