@ kimkay....oh puhhhhleeeaaassse! You actually believe someone with a personal habit/addiction who doesn't harm anyone but themselve's, are worse than someone who vandalizes personal property and kills defenseless animals is a sick way? People with your mindset are the reason why the prisons don't have enough room to house the REAL threats to society. Keep listening to your government..the sheep goes, BAAAA BAAA BAAA

this is probably the most ignorant work of our justice system that i've ever heard of. the judge needs to get his head out of his a** and reconsider who should really get time and shouldnt...... like the many coke/pot/meth heads that are repeat offenders, but slapped on the wrist every time and sent back home.

And another thing I wanted to point out...have you noticed how EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE sidelined on this website is NEGATIVE??? Yellow journalism is alive and well. Worse yet, we keep reading this crap.

I have five awesome dogs. They are just like "real" family. And I would want someone to pay for hurting them. But I also know there is a difference between a human and an animal...no matter how attached we become. I say that to say this: It's good to feel outrage at this man's act, but it most certainly IS NOT GOOD to elevate the dog to the level of a person and equate this event to that of 'murder'. Some of you scream at how this guy could devalue a dog's life to the point he was able to do such an evil thing, but let's not devalue the life of humans to that which is less than an animal. If we do, we are really worse than this jerk who killed the pet.

Well, I don't agree with cruelty to animals but us be real. The same judge probably hands down lighter sentences to people that kill other innocent people & kids. I have read about a woman that beaten her infant to death & only get 18 months. Personally, no animal equals to a human. He needs to pay something but no more time then a murderer.

pikematrick I'm with you. Notice how the human part of your comment was sidelined. I know the dog is worth more.

I agree with beckyy53, they need to put him in a washing machine and turn it on. Let him die that way. People like this absolutely sicken me.
