Man injured in Little Rock shooting

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police say one man has been injured after a late night shooting in Little Rock.

According to reports, officials from the Little Rock Police Department responded to a call about a shooting at 905 South Broadway around 11:34 pm on April 2. When they arrived, police found the victim, 54-year-old Michael McGonical of Jacksonville, suffering from two gunshot wounds. McGonical told police that he was driving westbound on Roosevelt when two unknown men standing across from the Auto Zone at 515 East Roosevelt shot at him. He then drove to the Wendy’s located at 905 S. Broadway and called for help.

Police say McGonical was transported to UAMS for treatment. No suspects have been arrested at this time.

Unfortunately any one of us could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.Not everyone does drugs.This man got off Roosevelt Road,turned right toward Main St. and two men stepped out of bushes behind gas station and started firing.Is is a shame he wasn't able to run them over and back up over them again.

Every neighborhood has a "hood" no matter what neighborhood. Do you really know your neighbors? We came down for state competitions and missed my exit and had to go one more down, and that's what happens. It can happen to you at the blink of an eye. Thanks for all the judgmental comments. --Mike

Unfortunately everyone, especially visitors, don't know where the "hood" is. Had a heart to heart with a friend yesterday about them moving way West to get away from the hood....then bringing it with them..they agreed. Then it was a tirade on the White people that live there...I said "it is the type you associate with", not the White race. They agreed.
