Man killed in early morning accident

MAUMELLE, AR – Police report one man has been killed in an early morning single car accident.

According to reports, 28-year-old Benjamin Brasfield of Conway was driving westbound on the I-40 when he failed to negotiate a turn, causing his vehicle, a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, to leave the roadway and overturn. Brasfield was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.

The whole De Witt is messed up about Ben's death it shocked everyone and we are all still shocked...Ben was a good friend fun to be around cracking jokes lol we will truely miss you Ben R.I.L Ben

I do not wear seat belts due to the fact I damn near died in a auto accident because of them, twice. So, it is my choice not to wear one. I am sorry for the loss of such a young life. No one never knows when God will call them home.

If you read the ASP fatal accident reports it is easy to see that lots that die were ejected. Seat belts anyone.

Benjamin "Dwight" was a great friend and will truely be missed! He had a smile that will lighten a dull room and a big heart. I will continue to Pray for his family. R.I.L Dwight
