FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced a Springdale man to 70 years in prison for producing and receiving child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Jimm Larry Hendron formally sentenced William Cannon during a hearing on Monday.
Federal prosecutors say Cannon admitted to producing two videos of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor female and to downloading child pornography from the Internet. They say he also acknowledged hanging images of nude children in his residence and displaying signs with messages threatening children in rooms at his home.
An attorney for Cannon, listed in court records as James Pierce with the federal public defender's office, didn't immediately return a call after hours on Monday seeking comment.
