NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Pulaski County Sheriff's deputies responded to a stabbing Monday afternoon in which a man allegedly beat up and stabbed his stepfather for "disrespecting" his mother.
According to the incident report, the victim, 54-year-old Larry Richard, Sr., had a verbal altercation with his wife in their home. As he was leaving the house, police say his wife's son, 34-year-old Booker Couch, attacked him.
Couch, who lives across the street from Richard, told police he broke his hand while punching Richard. When asked about the stab wounds, Couch told police he had a knife in his pocket that may have fallen out and cut the victim.
Officers say Couch faces a first degree battery charge and also an outstanding warrant.
Richard was taken to the hospital in serious condition with stab wounds to his chest, shoulder and head.
