PINE BLUFF, AR – An 18-year-old wanted in connection with a shooting incident at Pine Bluff High School last Friday has been captured by police.

Devonte Parker was arrested near Dumas Tuesday afternoon. According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, Parker was tracked to the Mitchellville community, north of Dumas. Police say they had to chase Parker through a wheat field for a short time before they captured him.

The Dumas Police, the Desha County Sheriff’s Office, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission assisted in the arrest.

Parker was wanted for unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and possession of a firearm on school property. Nobody was injured in the shooting.

@womantowoman, he probably doesn't care that he did something wrong and probably has some lame thuggish excuse for it like, "mofo's always be trippin" or something like that..That's the problem with criminal types, they have no conscience and do whatever they do for their own reason, without regard for anyone else in society...I doubt he feels a lick of shame.

this is so messed up my husband went to school with him... and it's sad to hear that he didn't have nothing else going on with his life than to destroy it.

I hope no one in the Mitchellville community was trying to hide this smarta&&. I know several people in that area and they are people of high character who would be ashamed of what this joker did. Luckily no one was killed by his criminal actions.

This kid may be laughing to hide the fear he has. He know deep down that he has done wrong and don't want to look like he has any fear inside of him. It's a shame that the young people today don't think before they do anything. It's a dame shame!!!!!

Why is this kid laughing in his mug shot? Guess he thinks this is a joke. He is laughing because his stupidity has caused him to become a ward of the state whereby he will get free food, medical care, and housing. This kid has a great future ahead of him. What an idiot. Can't we just take people out behind the courthouse and dispose of them instead of becoming a lifelong parasite on society?
