JEFFERSON COUNTY, AR - Jefferson County deputies say they're looking for a man who ran from them after they approached him about warrants.

Sheriff department spokesman Major LaFayette Woods says a deputy spotted Sean O'Neal on highway 425 picking up cans.

The officer noticed O'Neal matched the description of a man wanted on two felony bench warrants. When he approached O'Neal, O'Neal ran west into a cornfield.

Deputies have set up a perimeter and have dogs out to search.

O'Neal is wanted to felony theft and breaking and entering charges.

I would wonder about the how valid the charges really are in this case. Picking up cans on an open hot HWY isn't something I picture a thief doing. To much work involved in it. Give this guy a break until we get the whole story.
