March Against Violence Set for Saturday in Pine Bluff

A press conference today to announce the event included children, as well as the Mayor and Police Chief.

PINE BLUFF, AR- Kids in Pine Bluff will march against violence in their city this weekend.

They say those that commit crimes steal their childhood.

A press conference today announced the march.

The Mayor of Pine Bluff as well as the Police Chief took part in the press conference.

The organizers are urging citizens of Pine Bluff to join the dozens of kids who will march from the Courthouse to the Civic Center this weekend.

"Any time we have 5 and 6 year olds who know terms like homicide and they're going to visit parents in prisons...it's a tragedy for society as a whole" says William Fells, who plans to participate in the march.

The event is set to start at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
