MAYFLOWER, Ark. -- The former Mayflower Police Chief pleaded guilty Wednesday morning as part of a plea deal.

Billy Baker pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor tampering charge after being accused of sending fraudulent paperwork for radar training for his officers.

Baker has already been decertified as a law enforcement officer, must pay a fine and will be placed on probation.

The lawyer for Baker says if his client completes one year of unsupervised probation the case will be dismissed.
