MAYFLOWER, AR -- Mayflower schools re-opened Tuesday and attendance is back to normal.
All three schools in the district closed Monday after custodial staff members disinfected the buildings following the flu-like illness that made teachers and students sick.
It started at the elementary school, and last Thursday, more than 250 students stayed home sick.
School officials say students and teachers had strep throat, high fever, pneumonia, and mono.
The superintendent tells FOX16 that attendance reached 95 percent Tuesday, which is average.
