First off a defense attorney can only do your bidding and protect your rights. The only thing more insane than pleading innocent by reason of insanity is to not understand what it means and what happens. First the plea of innocent by insanity means you did it but without the mental capacity to understand or comprehend your action. That should make it easy for the jury. All they have to decide is if your sane or not. Ether way you are locked away for a very long time. Mental institution or prison. Learn as much as you can about the law.
