Metropolitan Bank Branch Robbed in Southwest Little Rock

Friday morning holdup happened just before 9:30 on Baseline Road.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a morning bank robbery on the city's southwest side.

It happened just before 9:30 at the Metropolitan Bank branch at 6712 Baseline Road.

Police say the suspect did not have a weapon when he demanded cash from the tellers.

Police describe the suspect as a black man about 6'4" tall with a long beard.

His beard and hair appeared to be fake. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, glasses and a blue baseball cap.

The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was last seen walking north on Verbena Drive.

There were customers inside the bank during the robbery, but no one was hurt.
