Mike Ross to Announce Run for Arkansas Governor Wednesday in Prescott

Former congressman follows announcement with statewide tour.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Another candidate is set to throw his hat into the ring in the 2014 Arkansas governor's race.

Former Fourth District U.S. Congressman Mike Ross will formally announce his campaign to seek the Democratic nomination on Wednesday in his hometown of Prescott.

The announcement will be followed by a statewide tour, with similar announcements in Texarkana, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Jonesboro and Little Rock, and visits to more than 30 communities across the state over the next 10 days.

Ross's schedule Wednesday:

  •   9:45 a.m. – Texarkana Regional Airport – Webb Field, TACAir Parking Lot, 501 Airport Drive, Texarkana
  • 11:40 a.m. – Fort Smith Regional Airport, Parking Lot, 6700 McKennon Boulevard, Fort Smith
  •   1:15 p.m. – Fayetteville Airport – Drake Field, 4500 South School Avenue, Fayetteville
  •   3:30 p.m. –  Jonesboro Municipal Airport, Private Terminal – Building 1, 3901 Lindburg Drive, Jonesboro
  •   6:00 p.m. – Little Rock – Arkansas State Capitol steps, 500 Woodlane Street, Little Rock
