charlie c, she might have had a good reason to run away. You never know when it comes to minors. There could have been abuse and no telling what else in her home that she ran away from. maybe the people who let her stay had her best interest in mind. Why punish those people, she was there at her own free will. If that's not the case and it's some kind of drug house or whatever, then I'm sure the cops will look into it.

You've got to be kidding, Charlie. If she was staying with someone while she was gone, which we have no idea about, at least she might have been staying with someone and keeping off the streets. If I took in a runaway, even a minor, I'd rather keep them at my house while they cool off rather than turning them away. See all the John and Jane Does that show up each year? No charges need to be filed because whoever might have kept her did nothing wrong. I am glad this young girl is back home safe. But what she needs now is NOT punishment. If problems exist, she needs love, encouragement, and understanding. Unfortunately since moving to Arkansas, I have seen far too many parents who pay no attention to their children unless they are doing something bad. Children only get attention when they do something wrong, which is why they start acting out when they get older. Try some positive reinforcement instead, you might be surprised at how effective and appreciated it is. Children are people, too.

I am so glad this young girl was found safe. Thank you Jesus. I also want to see further news reports for who allowed her to stay with them the past few days to be brought up on charges. She is a minor and whom ever took her in knew she was a run away but allowed her to stay.

Juvenile detention? For what? Is it illegal to run away?

I'm so glad the police found her. These kids that run away really think the grass is greener on the other side. Some learn their lessons on the streets and some never get the chance. No one knows whats going on in the girls home and if its an abusive home..trust someone and tell. Most cases its kids being rebellious. Running away is never the answer!!!!!! I'm glad she was sent to detention center and hopefully her experience is bad enough she doesn't want to return.

In this day and age with so much tragedy why would a teen not understand that they don't need to add to it? GLAD SHE IS BACK HOME. Hope someone puts some sense in her head.
