POCAHONTAS, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say an inmate who walked away from work detail in Lawrence County has been captured in Missouri.

Pocahontas Police Chief Cecil Tackett says James Lundry was caught by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Fisk. Jonesboro television station KAIT reports that Lundry surrendered without a struggle.

Authorities say troopers made the arrest after receiving information from the U.S. Marshals Office in Jonesboro.

Police say Lundry walked away from a city park in Walnut Ridge on Friday afternoon. Police accuse him of stealing a van from a funeral home, along with weapons from a police officer's home.

The police chief says Lundry was in the stolen minivan when he was arrested.
