Money Issue Holds Up Voter ID Bill

Photo identification when you go to vote sailed through the Arkansas senate, but it was a much different story on Wednesday as a House of Representatives panel slammed the brakes on the idea.

Whatever happened to the day of going to vote, showing your voter registration and drivers license to a person to confirm you are who you say you are and then voting? LOL

raerae: after reading the story again, I see your point. The judge seems to be living in a fantasy world, doesn't he! I reckon he's like most of his kind; very similar to a dog's hind leg if you know what I mean. And it is very difficult to go through today's world without ID; how do they do it? Good question!

Tell Gov Beebe to give back the money he spent when he went to DC. That would pay for it. But my question is how do these people cash their checks or get welfare with no photo ID? How do you go though life with NO PHOTO ID? And for the lying Judge Wendell Griffen to say we don't have any fraud, well he is just stupid. Just last year in northern Arkansas a demo rep had to resign for buying votes. He and his family were involved. So what do you have to say about that lying Judge Wendell Griffen.

The House is making us look ignorant, aren't they? Why can't the DFA do these ID's? They are already set up for DL's and State ID's for those that can't drive; what else is needed? Why do the county clerks need to be involved?

Why don't you make it reasonable and have a traveling photo that goes to Post Offices and Libraries or Wal Marts, remember the old $1.00 picture booth- or let them go to the local Police Station up load from a simple cell phone?? Pass the Law and stop making us look extra ignorant!
