Get ready for more headaches at the Big Rock Interchange.

This coming Tuesday through Thursday, crews will be painting stripes and raised pavement markers on the Big Rock Interchange to make it clear where the new lanes are after last Sunday's lane shift.

This is going to make the lines easier to see during bad weather.

You can expect lane closures Tuesday through Thursday next week from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

This will impact 630, 430, ramps, merge lanes, Shackleford Road and Financial Centre Parkway.

Drivers FOX16 talked with Friday are not happy about the mess.

“I understand because, you know, we're advancing. I'm sure of this, but it is kind of hard. We've been stuck in traffic now for about 15 minutes and we've just come, you know, a couple of blocks," says driver Kathy Carter.

“I'll try to avoid is as much as possible. You said Thursday?” asked driver Kimberly Ollison.

“Tuesday through Thursday,” said Fox16’s Kelly Dudzik.

“I work on the other side of town, but I shop here. Yeah, I'll avoid it," says Ollison.

Of course, the highway department wants you to be extra careful when you're driving through the construction zone.

This schedule could change if we get bad weather.
