LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service in North Little Rock says more temperature records have fallen in central Arkansas.
North Little Rock reached 102 degrees on Thursday, breaking a record of 100 from 1980, which was also a year plagued by a drought.
Little Rock also reached 102 degrees, which tied a record from 1954. Hot Springs hit 103, breaking the record of 102, also from 1954.
The weather service says temperatures are forecast to moderate a bit over the weekend, with highs in the lower 90s and with a slightly increased chance of rain.
