LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Mary Hodges is one of many people who placed flags on the graves of military heroes at Mount Holly Cemetery Sunday. She came to pay tribute to her father.

"It's very important to me that we remember the people who have given us the freedoms we have. So I just came out here to put the flag on daddy's grave," said Hodges.

The cemetery's board wanted to do something special for the veterans and their families.

"We researched the obituaries and made a lot of trips to the Arkansas History Commission and many days walking the cemetery to gather the information," said board member Kay Tatum.

Leaders say with the collected data, they decided to mark every single veteran's grave with a flag.
