I have to agree, life in prison means a lifetime of spewing more hatred towards Americans. Hope they lock him up in a dark broom closet way away from EVERYONE....

Goes to show what a worthless coward he truely is..Afraid to die, but he's not afraid to kill? I'm glad they gave the Long family a choice, I think that's what they should do in every case. I hope someone shanks him on his first day in the big house but most likely he'll recruit more islamic fanatics while in prison. Too bad the cops just didn't shoot him as soon as they caught that POS. Had it happened more recently, I think they would have..they for sure should have

I dont know why everyone is ripping on the prosecutor. Sounds like he did his best by the family and the result is something they could live with. This guy will never be heard from again. Good riddance!

Jegley needs to be looking for another job! The 'man' killed an innocent young service man and now he gets to recruit for Al Qaida!

Larry Jegley, the voters will not forget this at election time!! Another perfect example of our flawed justice system and the utter ignorance of attorneys and judges.

Well no reason now to cry over spilled milk...I am sure he wont like prison, especially after bubba meets him. I think the death penalty would have been the only true verdict, but who knows this could've been another Casey Anthony trial and the prosecutors drop the ball. At least he will have to spend the rest of his life being Bubba's girlfriend...
