NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Officials from the North Little Rock Police Department are investigating a single car accident that left one man dead late Tuesday night.

According to reports, police responded to an accident involving a Chevy Cavalier at 9000 Batesville Pike. The driver, 23-year-old Joe Smith of Sherwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

This texting and driving does bother me. I'd like to see a jamming device required in all new cars. I don't even like to talk on the phone driving. I also have a hands free and will not answer the phone driving. How can I afford to with most of the rest of you nuts doing it. Someone has to be watchful.

Frankly Texting is not allways the blame. Before cell or smart phones people ran off the road because they were fumbling with the radio or tape player,or dropped the ciggarett lighter,or and many other things that may distract one from what they should be doing. A loud booming sound from a cars speakers would fit perfectly.

Thats what happens when you text and drive. When are you folks that do this going to learn? I'm glad no one else was killed or injured due to his negligence. Prayers are with the family for their lose.
