LITTLE ROCK, AR-- There were 1,755 lightning strikes between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Saturday.

Lightning damaged a home in the Twin Lakes Subdivision off Kanis Road, a strike also started a fire that burned a vacant home on Pleasant Forest Drive.

An oak tree was destroyed in a lightning strike on Kanis Road near Baptist Hospital.
