This is terribly upsetting to see people talking about my aunt this way Cathy is an amazing person and seeing as she pretty much raised me I know that this isn't normal behavior for her. None of you understand what she was going threw during this accident. Yes she is on pain meds for a surgery she had and an ongoing condition that they have not been able to cure. I've watched her suffer since I was 16 years old and the fact that somebody would ever say such terrible things about her kills me. She would never just choose to do something like this. Our family has gone threw enough as it is and we don't need you people posting your nasty comments about her and us when you have no idea what you're really talking about. We are all deeply sorry and understand the pain we have caused to this woman's family and you have my deepest sympathy but the negative comments are not needed nor are they wanted

Her son had surgery, not her. She was driving doped up on drugs. The charges should have been felony manslaughter.

For those interested in an update, Patti has not had any surgery yet because of vital sign instability. Scheduled again for this next Tuesday. Noah is home, recovering. He will have a very low-key summer due to his injuries.

Thank you to the many families and friends in Hensley, Bauxite, NLR and vicinity who attended the service today for JoAnne. The Carrington family is blessed to have your friendship and support at this time. JoAnne's extended family in Ohio--keeping in mind Allan was one of 13 kids--appreciate your providing hugs and blessings in person, while we do what we can up here. God Bless.

afriend--again, thank you for 'justifying' Cathy's actions. No, it wasnt a 'sunday drive' it was mid afternoon on a Wednesday. Cathy is apparently lacking in common sense or intelligence or both, for if she was that tired MID DAY, and on NARCOTICS while 'worried about her son' then perhaps she would have stayed at the hospital or let someone drive her home. yes, she WILL have to 'live with..JoAnn's death' the rest of her life. At least she HAS a life, and HER son has a mother. THERE IS NO EXCUSE. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION. SHE DROVE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE. She CHOSE to get behind the wheel. The Carrington Family has paid the ultimate price, and will continue to do so for months as surgeries and recovery continue. Remember this as JoAnn is buried today and as Patti has her first-of-several surgeries tomorrow. There is no speculating as to what 'type of a monster' Cathy is. Up here in Ohio we call it IGNORANT.

Cathy is my friend, and yes she is devistated by death of JoAnn. It is something she will have to live with the rest of her life. She wasnt out for a sunday drive she was going home from the hospital where her son had just gotten out of surgery. So people should really should stop speculating on the type of monster she is without knowing anything about her... i personally know she has NEVER been in any legal trouble prior to this accident.

inallfairness... thank you for clarifying WHY Cathy killed JoAnn Carrington. She couldnt sleep. She had surgery. She was in pain. So, of course, she went for a drive. Now JoAnn's daughter is in traction. Having surgery today--first of many to repair multiple broken bones; looking at months of recovery. Not being able to sleep. Being in pain. How about little Noah? Sure, he is home. Wearing a collar brace on his 11year old body, taking pain meds and wishing he could get on his bike and cruise around town. And Jo Ann is being laid to rest this week. So glad to hear that Teresa is a great person and is upset about everything. That will mean so very much to the four children, multiple grandkids, and huge extended family of JoAnn.

I happened to know that she had been through numerous surgeries and medications were prescribed but probably fell asleep because she can't sleep long because of severe pain. She is a great person and I am sure she is upset about everything.
