If you was really in "fear" you WOULD NOT CARRY YOUR DUMB*** outside. You would wait inside for the police to come that YOU called! Ugh. The guy that wanted a "justified" kill. Hope he is proud to make it on the news for such a cowardly act.

Just one more note to ad to this unjustified killing of a puppy. The person who killed the puppy is not the property owner, he is the 30 plus son living with his parents.Was he really in fear for his life or was this just a chance to get even with the police?

i am a dog lover i have a german shephard bought from a ver reputable breeder nationwide. heck of a dog. i also have a dane and a yorkie. if any of my dogs got out and were scaring someone i could understand them killing them. i would hate it but i would understand becasue i have friends who come over and are scared of my dogs when they are outside in the yard and they (my friends) are in the house. just a fact that every body does not have the same tolerance for other poeples animals.

The 6 month old puppy was kept in a fenced yard with a hot wire around it and as any curious puppy would, he found a way out.The person who killed the puppy said he went into the house to call 911 and then went back outside and killed the puppy. When he went inside of the house, THE THREAT WAS GONE, and should have let the authorities handle it the right way.The person who killed the puppy only lived two houses down from the owner and knew who it belonged to.There has to be more to the motive behind killing the 6 month old puppy since the person who killed the puppy is a known former member of the "Sara Lynn Posse", and the owner of the puppy is a police officer. Hmmmm....

I do not side with the man who shot the dog. Use common sense. The man had an alternative to stay inside maintaining his safety. If you felt threaten, wait until the police arrive to deal with the situation.

Hate to tell you but humans are animals. mammal. We are just supposed to be the smartest animal. I wonder at times. My pets never run outside my fenced yard. Respect your neighbor. No need for me to have to shoot anything. My fence should tell you your not welcome. That goes for your animals too.

Keep your nasty animals locked up and this kind of stuff won't happen. I hate people who allow their "pets" (animals) to come crap in my yard, and piss on my landscaping! If you want your home to look/smell like a zoo, by all means, that is YOUR right BUT if you allow that animal on my property, it is MY right to shoot them!

a 6 month old german sheperd is not a little dog. keep your dog in your yard and then you do not have to worry about it getting shot. you being an irresponsible dog owner is not that man's fault.

IF YOU CAN NOT RESTRAIN YOUR PET AND IT WONDERS ONTO MY PROPERTY....IT WILL BE SHOT DEAD ON THE SPOT! JUST SAYING..... ANIMALS ARE CALLED ANIMALS FOR A REASON! I HAVE KIDS AND I WILL PROTECT THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Now, the dog killer is gonna have to spend hard earned money to buy more shells....and they are expensive.
