A full day of deliberations and the jury is still out. There is still no verdict in the trial against a Russellville doctor charged with orchestrating the bombing of a West Memphis physician. Understandably it may take more than one day to settle a one month long trial.

When you take a look at the six-page, nine count indictment, you get a sense why it would take a 12 member jury an extended length of time to reach a verdict.

Over 70 government witnesses, 1000 pieces of evidence and countless hours of testimony.

Despite all that, the prosecution finished closing arguments late last night telling jurors "this is a simple case" and "to look at the whole case."

Prosecutors describing Randeep Mann as a "gun nut," obsessed and fixated on the medical board because it took away his license to prescribe narcotics. And that obsession turned violent toward chairman Dr. Trent Pierce.

The defense maintains many disciplined physicians were mad at the medical board. And that instead of following the evidence where it led, the government abused its authority by fixating on Mann early on and then finding the evidence to fit the bomb plot theory.

Deliberation will continue in the morning.
