North Little Rock Grinch

The week before Christmas, while a North Little Rock couple was out, someone broke into their apartment, stealing all their gifts under the tree and the stockings.

Richard Carpenter and Dezarae Hopper are calling their burglar a real Grinch.

The burglar took one of their TV’s, DVD's and their iphone chargers. A lap top and lockbox, was also stolen. Hopper says she can't believe how someone could do such a thing. She says they are college students, in between jobs, and just got engaged. Carpenter says he doesn't know how they'll be able to replace what was taken. "My fiancé put a lot of thought into Christmas gifts for her family members. We don't really have a whole lot, so they took every dollar we had to buy presents for our family members."

They say they don't feel safe anymore, and will be looking for a new place to live. "I feel like I can't even sleep in my own house anymore." Carpenter says, "It just feels like somebody has been though through all my stuff, and I feel kind of gross."

Hopper says it's terrible to have everything stolen. ."Obviously they needed it more than we did. They are the Grinch who stole Christmas."

North Little Rock Police are investigating.
