North Little Rock Schools kick off text-a-tip

The North Little Rock School District is partnering with the North Little Rock Police Department to offer a new tip program to the community to report crimes.

I propose the same question. Why impliment a technology that we as local tax payers fund, that contradicts what children and parents have been told in the past. Also, if theyre cought on the phone they're now able to use text a tip as a scape goat? Of it is anonymous then administrators and security alike shouldnt be allowed to question the use of the cell phone at all. There is no true anonymity.

How can this work? LRSD tells their students that it's a federal crime for them to carry a phone in school. And if there is a scan the phone is confiscated. If you're caught too many times you're suspended. Doesn't NLRSD have to abide by the same laws?
