North Little Rock student hit by car while walking to bus stop

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police report a North Little Rock student has been hit by a car while walking to her bus stop.
According to Officer Carmen Helton of the North Little Rock Police Department, a 15-year-old student was walking to her bus stop when she was hit by a car driven by 71-year-old Helen Bowie at Lynn Lane and Arrow Head Road Wednesday morning.
Bowie told police that she was nearing the top of the hill when she was blinded by the sun and didn’t see the girl.
The victim was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital with non-life threading injuries. Bowie was ticketed for Careless Driving.
