LITTLE ROCK, AR - "Yay, we got our trailer," said a happy Aaron Stewart. The Occupy Little Rock protestors need it. That's because today is moving day.

"I would have liked to have made a stand and stayed here," said Stewart while still in front of the Clinton Library. "I mean obviously there's a lot of precedence for freedom of speech and standing up for it by standing your ground."

Instead though, protestors took Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas up on his offer. Thomas came to the group and asked them to move a few hundred yards to a new location that came with an open-ended permit to sleep there.

"For them to actually come down here and compromise with us, and to give us this place to go, it's a win for us," Stewart said.

It's why protestors packed their bags Tuesday, and of course, their tents.

"Pros to the new location is the visibility to the freeway," said Stewart while driving to the new location. "It's gonna be outstanding." The new location also has bathrooms and a dumpster. Not bad when you're spending night after night inside your tent.

So now the Cccupy Little Rock protesters have a new location and they can stay as long as they want. Question is, how long do they want to stay?

"Possibly months," said Stewart, "maybe even a year." In other words, the new location could be home for a while.

The rampant and proud ignorance shown by some of the postings here is breathtaking. The only ones trying to whip up frenzy are the name calling haters who can't even take the time to visit the site they're pontificating about. Public assembly, redress of grievances, civil disobedience, and peaceful protests represent the very best of Our Nation. Unless you make over a million dollars a year, the people they're talking to are YOU! The reason they're sacrificing for is YOU! They've taken a stand for YOU! Even if you somehow, astonishingly, disagree with their politics or positions, I truly respect their commitment to Our Democracy and its best ideals.

Governmethawg...You are exactly right. I have job openings right now, maybe not the best jobs in the world but they pay better than an unemployment check and I can't get anyone to show up for an interview. I guess these protesters are waiting for their leader, the anti-american thug Van Jones to tell them when to start the violence.

I am really impressed with this group so far. They seem serious about their cause, but also respectful of the law. I have attended a couple of their meetings. They stressed such rules as "no alcohol on the premises" and picking up ALL litter. Some people have referred to them as "hippies." I guess that all depends on your definition, but I will simple say they appear to be very good citizens - respectful, concerned, informed, and willing to sacrifice their time and comfort to improve matters in this country. Personally, I am humbled by their efforts.

Sounds like a win-win for the protesters and the LRPD. Civil, safe, protests-demanding redress from the government for grievances-is as Patriotic and American as it gets, IMHO. As a former Marine, I like to think THIS is what Democracy looks like, and the reason I and so many others sacrificed for it. There will always be haters-in this case, if you're making more than a million a year, that makes sense. If, however, you're not part of that lucky 1%, you ought be supporting these folks and their cause-'cos they're doing it for YOU and ME and all the rest of us. Thanks to Chief Stuart, the City of Little Rock, the Clinton Foundation, and the Occupy LR Occupiers. They've set a proud example for "civil" civil disobedience. Now, if only such law enforcement could be applied against Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, FNMA, FRMC, and the rest, we'd have some results our entire NATION could be proud of...Semper Fi Protesters! Keep the Faith!

Has anybody figured out what these hippies want yet? I don't think they have a point. "We're mad at the economy so we're gonna set outside until it gets better." It would seem like the obvious solution is to go get jobs and there are plenty available.
