One of the greatest blows against Democracy in my lifetime has been the Supreme Court decision in "Citizens United", what a mockery. If we want government of the people, by the people, and for the people; special interest money has to be removed from the political process. What justice can there be for our citizens when even the Courts are corrupted by the almighty power of the dollar (i.e. Justice Clarance Thomas). It is time for citizens to unite against the power brokers and the unholy alliance of Wall Street and corrupt politicians and "Take Back the American Dream"!

In Boston tonight, the rights of peaceful protesters are being violated. They are being attacked by police in riot gear, right now. I trust that the LRPD are not preparing likewise.

Citizens should never fear their government, in truth the government should fear the peoples. That statement is a truth that the framers of our Constitution knew and understood. We have come along way from that time and lesson, unfortunately our current elected officials have not only forgotten it but work to empower themselves against it. Just notice the language that the current rabble of presidential candidates use to describe Americans Exercising their Constitutional Rights of freedom of assembly, Freedom of speech and the right to protest the government. Republicans refer to these brave individuals as trouble makers, Democrats as usual are flipping and flopping all over the place. Disgruntled, Disillusioned, Disenfranchised, or Disappointed. What ever label one wishes to place upon them, the fact that Americans are growing tired and weary of the same rhetorical and empty promises are evident in these actions. I cant help but imagine that the mudslinging and muck raking being done against these protesters are similar to the wording and emotions levied on our Patriot Rebel Founders who rallied against king George and his tyrannical efforts to control the Colonists in the New World. GOD Bless America, Keep her Patriots and Defenders safe from the vile intentions of politicians. True change begins where the foot falls meet the cobblestones !

I don't see the point UNLESS IT IS A PLAN TO OUST THE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS. And I am not suggesting that should be done. GOD BLESS AMERICA

Politicians think that their jobs mean big bucks and these positions mean just that. When these people get together with special interest, they make the laws that will allow their stock to soar. They know what will be approved (drugs and FDA; Monsanto and seed patents; wartime contracts) and have control over the approval process. They use their (special interest and politicians) money to get political offices and then use their political offices to make ungodly amounts of money. Sometimes they are special interest and politician all in one person. Channeling the big bucks through special interest is special to these politicians because they make money both ways. Special interest supports their offices and acquisitions thereof, and then they rake in their share of the profits for supporting special interest. We need laws NOW to stop this type of corruption; between political figures and special interest. Special interest should not be able to collaborate with political figures, directly or otherwise, and thus engage in actions that would accordingly make them all rich. We need these types of laws if we are going to make it as a nation. How can government officials properly conduct their jobs with so many irons in the fire? What if I worked for Wal-Mart and went outside while on the clock, and set up a lemonade stand, in order that I may make money from my job as a Wal-Mart employ and make money from my lemonade stand as well? Wal-Mart would fire me! These double-dipping politicians are serving on the member's board of special interest, or, are part or total owners of one or more of these companies, or have constituencies or relatives who do the same. Simply put, these corrupt politicians cannot be fair to the people or the whole of government while their main concern is generating revenue for themselves, special interest, or their constituencies. It is unfair, and we need government employees to focus on their government jobs, and to do so for the people of
