I have a concealed weapon permit. There are laws were I can bring my weapon. That would also include for open carry. Also I would open carry if it comes to law. One of my favored quotes is "An armed society is a polite society."

YOU SHOULD HAVE CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT AND HAVE GONE THROUGH ALL THE TRAINING FOR THAT BEFORE YOU CAN CARRY OPEN.

I have a ccl and I dont feel like an open carry policy would be benejficial for the reason that if someone knows you are carrying and its all out there for them to see then what keeps them from sneaking up behind you and grabbing your weapon. Also if a criminal can see your handgun then it kills the element of surprise and what fun is that?

First I want to point out that all elected official take an oath to defend our rights to bare arms as directed in the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I wound ask earnestly of all citizens to remove or vote out any traitress elected official who would take away or change our rights to bare arms.

I don't have a handgun, but in light of the recent events up there in Little Rock, I would be for it. I certainly feel safer around some guy with a permit than some Ghetto thug that just stole the gun from a house he burglarized.

One of the men involved with taking down the shooter in Tucson had a permit and was armed, the people were too close to take a clean shot so he tackled the guy instead. I support the Constitution to the letter, I have a permit and I carry every where I go. There are a couple of things about open carry that concern me. Would there still be a permit requirement? How would a permit requirement be checked by the police to ensure no felon or other person who is restricted is walking around with a gun? Of course, they don't know now either unless they have a reason to stop a person. I will really be watching the debate on this subject before I make up my mind for certain. God Bless America

Open carry is great. Laws, stating no weapon, where alcool is sold, banks, City and County, State, and Federal Buildings. Would solve many of the questions brought up. I am for it.

So...If a person has a permit for a concealed weapon...you'd rather *not* know that they have a gun, rather than them *display* that they have it? Righttt. I'd rather remain uninformed of a danger facing me. Smart people.

Why do people need to openly display they have guns..walking around the mall or walmart? i don't want any more reason to be terrified of strangers. people are crazy enough walking around WITHOUT gun holsters. get mad that the line is too long at walgreens? i bet you can bully your way to the front with your pistol in plain site.
