LITTLE ROCK, AR – A federal judge Wednesday accepted the guilty plea of Sedrick Trice, 27, for his role in a drug manufacturing and distribution ring based out of Helena / West Helena.

In exchange for his guilty plea on two counts, the U.S. attorneys office agreed to drop another 14 counts against Trice.

U.S. district court judge James Moody accepted the plea which comes with a 40 year sentence.  Moody said he would not deviate from the agreement, but no date for sentencing has been set.

Trice was one of 70 people indicted in Operation Delta Blues.  The U.S. attorneys office says Trice and a co-conspirator directed a drug ring that stored and prepared drugs.
