@dilligaf, Patriot4life, justataxpayer, and protector20 if you're not a teacher, personally know one, or done your time in a classroom then you are NOT qualified to comment on whether PCSSD teachers care for the kids or appreciate having their jobs. I'm sure many of them would much rather be paid the income of the two district attorneys earn just on retainer alone or an income equal to the administrators, or the income of Superintendent Dr. Jerry Guess.

whats sad is most of the ppl that you see sitting behind the desks make between 75 and 100 thousand a yr in salary most of the teachers in the class room make between 30 and 40 depending on the yrs they have taught... so if you ask me the teachers in most classes deserve a raise and the district needs to take the money they are spending on remodeling two yr old weight rooms and spend that money on leaking roofs and cracked walls... it is sad to say these ppl are in charge of our childrens eduacation and at the end of the day its all about who has the fattest wallet... pathetic

I am so sick of the PCSSD and all of its BS. No one, and I mean no one there gives a rats behind about the kids. All the teachers care about is making more money and all the school cares about is tossing away money. These teachers should be grateful they have a job. Take the union away and take the personal benefits away and find people that care about the education of the kids. Out with the greedy.

The district is so broke that it can afford to pay attorney fees for the PPC committee teacher's, for which are non-union, hand picked by administrators and violating the current teachers contract?

Arkansas is a right to work state, why do we put up with unions? Unions promote substandard work performance and the belief that the worker is somehow entitled to compensations they do not work for. We need teachers in Arkansas that are willing to teach children period, not just when they are not on strike. Fire the Union teachers and put their positions up for individual contract bid, then we will find out who the real teachers are.

All unions do now days is protect worthless employees who bend the rules to their benefit. Most of the union employees think the company or in this case the school district owes them everything when they should be thanking them for not spliting up the district! Fire them all and start over!

When this district can't work out its fiscal problems and ends up being consolidated with another district, teacher contracts will be null and voic anyway. Everyone will have to start over and apply for their jobs again. Marty Nix can explain THAT to all of her union members.
